KDUR 2019 Spring Membership Drive

Our community members are not only the media makers at KDUR, but your financial contributions make up a significant part of our annual operating budget.  Recently the President unveiled the 2nd part of his 2020 budget to congress, proposing to eliminate funding to public media.  Now more than ever the PUBLIC part of PUBLIC radio is vital.  We are the content creators and we are the ones keeping the content honest and free of the clutter of commercials and other interests.  Your support during this drive makes that possible.

Some of the notable things KDUR has accomplished with your help include:

-A collaboration with the Durango Herald on “Creating Connections…,” a series about youth suicide prevention, that is getting national recognition from the American Press Institute and Solutions Journalism Network.

-The Furniture as Art Auction and Cover Night continue to be two of Durango’s favorite local events and give KDUR an opportunity to celebrate art, music and the people who help make KDUR and the community great. 

-We will be announcing the new KDUR “app” soon that makes mobile streaming easier and more accessible.

During our Spring Pledge Drive we look to you to contribute what you can, so we can keep the station alive and well.

Our pledge to you is to keep bringing you new, unique and underrepresented music, independent news programming and the local touch you can only get from TRUE locally produced radio.
